2019 SENIOR LIVING EXECUTIVE CONFERENCE RECAP DEVELOPING STRONG COMMUNITY LEADERS THROUGH EDUCATION

Executive directors from across the industry participated in the eighth annual Executive Director Leadership Institute (EDLI) at the conference. The three-day training supports executive directors in developing their skills in mission critical areas such as operations management, leadership, human resources, sales and marketing, clinical oversight, risk management, and more. Led by facilitators Tana Gall, CEO of Blue Harbor Senior Living, and Chris Guay, president and CEO of Vitality Senior Living, EDLI participants heard from a number of thought leaders including Christopher Ridenhour, GFN, an expert in retention and a staff engagement consultant.

Featured speaker Christopher Ridenhour, GFN, shares workforce best practices with EDLI participants.

“I really enjoyed every moment of the Executive Director Leadership Institute. It was educational, thought- provoking, and made a baby boomer (like me) think outside of the box when communicating with other generations. I always said if I learn one or two new things each day, it’s a good day! It was a wonderful experience to be in a room with professional EDs for three days who are driven and dedicated to excel and listen and learn from each other.”
