The City of Bellflower has recently joined forces with the City of Paramount and the City of Norwalk to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society. Similar to previous years, the Relay Event will take place on Saturday, June 23rd at 9:00 a.m. and continue until Sunday, June 24th at 9:00 a.m. at the Bellflower Ron Yary Stadium located at 15301 McNab Ave., in Bellflower. Bellflower City Council Reorganizes New Mayor Takes Center Seat
At the March 26th City Council Meeting, Mayor Ron Schnablegger passed the gavel to newly appointed Mayor Ray Dunton and Mayor Pro Tem Sonny R. Santa Ines. This will be the third time Dunton serves as Mayor of the City of Bellflower. For more info call (562) 804-1424 ext. 2271.
Demolition of Victory Drugs and Ricci’s Widening project continues through Summer
Reminding all commuters, the Bellflower Boulevard Widening Project funded by LA County Metro Transit Authority is scheduled to begin demolition this month. The project includes the widening of Bellflower Blvd between the 91 and Artesia Blvd. and new traffic signals at the freeway on/off ramps and the intersection of Bellflower Blvd. and Artesia Blvd. Residents and businesses can expect to find heavy traffic delays in this area. Drivers are strongly urged to use alternate routes such as Woodruff Ave. or Clark Ave. Check back for future demolition and traffic notifications.
