Projects which target school-aged individuals should demonstrate career opportunities, develop employability skills and enrich chemistry education. The Reece Foundation aims to increase the long-term prosperity of the North East of England through the promotion of engineering and manufacturing. It offers grants for the improvement of education in engineering and related subjects, training in engineering skills, and the development of employment opportunities. Although projects in the North East are favoured, exceptions are sometimes made. Apply by downloading and returning the application form by post or email.

Non fee-paying schools can apply to the Trust for funding of projects focusing on education, environment, children, the disabled, youth activities and those which provide clear benefits to local communities. Grants can be used for capital works or the purchase of equipment. Applications are preferred from areas where Ford operates, namely Essex and East London, Bridgend and South Wales, Southampton, Daventry, Manchester and Liverpool. Applications must be made on the appropriate form, and submitted by email.

The Society’s Small Grants for Education are available to schools for enhancing and enriching mathematical study beyond the curriculum and encouraging unusual ways of communicating mathematics. Funding must be for a specific purpose, rather than going into a larger pool. Apply by email or post, using the application form available on the website

Intended to help promote the teaching of Latin and Roman studies, grants are awarded three times a year. Funding can be used for the purchase of books or resources for Roman studies, and applications from schools planning to start courses in Latin are particularly welcome. Apply by downloading the application form from the website and submitting it by email.
