CASE STUDY: THE PRIORY ACADEMY OPENS A NEW ROBOTICS LAB

The Priory Academy LSST, Lincoln (1,881 pupils) was awarded £40,000 through the Wolfson Foundation’s Secondary Education Programme. The grant part-funded the building of a new £110,000 robotics department which boasts 15 high-spec computers, a 3D printer and a laser printer. Mr Jones, Head of Technology at The Priory, said: ‘The Wolfson Foundation grant application was straightforward because the academy fullled all the criteria. Mr Jones and Mr Brown, Assistant Headteacher, compiled the bid with an extensive rationale which worked closely with the funding criteria and bid requirements. The interest and excitement among our students has been absolutely phenomenal and it's wonderful to be able to offer these amazing opportunities in the very latest technology.’
