The Fall issue of FLOURISH is always a special one because along with the stories of those who are part of Landis Communities, it also includes Community Impact Features and a snapshot of the Annual Report.
I
t has been an exciting year! Welsh Mountain Home completed the renovation of their 100-year-old building,
construction of the Landis Homes Gardens and Meadows neighborhoods is well underway and Landis Place on King has reached their occupancy goal!
Another signifi cant undertaking began in October 2024 when the Landis Communities Board of Directors began a strategic planning process. Unlike how strategic planning had been done in the past, the objective was to establish strategic pillars that could form a framework for all boards within the organization to establish priorities and goals.
T is graphic gives a visual representation of the resulting pillars, the underlying themes and the importance of how all we do is rooted in faith.
T roughout the process, our focus has been to build oneness through shared vision and commitment. I’m grateful for everyone who has provided input regarding past experiences and future direction. Listening and learning together has brought us to this point and we will continue to work collaboratively as the team establishes goals. To learn more, visit

As you read this issue of FLOURISH, you will see examples of how Landis Communities is already living out this shared vision. I was struck by how many of the stories reference more than one part of the organization: a Landis Homes resident whose wife attends Landis Adult Day Services; siblings who live at Landis Homes and Welsh Mountain Home with a third who is part of the Lancaster Downtowners (a partner organization); Landis Place on King and Steeple View Lofts residents who get together for fun and fellowship; Landis at Home clients of Graceful Transitions who moved to Landis Homes. Together, we are striving to meet the diverse needs and interests of older adults.
With gratitude for your prayers and support,
Larry Zook President/CEO, Landis Communities
