Streamlining set-ups with an operation-ready jetting van
For a busy company like JIG UK Drainage Solutions Ltd, getting a fully equipped drainage vehicle on the road quickly is a huge advantage. An operation-ready vehicle offers contractors a way to save both time and money, eliminating the need to source multiple suppliers for a van fit-out.
JIG UK Contracts Director Paul Bowers has found that a turnkey van solution, complete with the powerful Andy Guest Jetters 5-Series jetter, is the perfect fit for his needs. "I wanted a van that was kitted out and ready to go," Paul says. “In the past, we've had to buy a van and get it lined, install the jetter and storage for equipment. It can be very time- consuming - so this was ideal.”
Paul has been in the drainage industry since 1994, working with Yorkshire Water, Lumsden & Carroll, and a local council before establishing JIG UK in 2021. He has been a loyal customer of Andy Guest Jetters for 15 years, preferring their

machines for their power, control, and advanced features.
JIG UK offers a wide range of drainage services, including high-pressure jetting, CCTV surveys, septic tank cleaning, and trenchless repairs. For Paul, having a van that's fully equipped to handle these jobs at any time is invaluable.
The Andy Guest Jetters Operation-Ready Van is a comprehensive drainage solution. It includes a 5-Series jetter, along with essential equipment and storage. The van is designed for durability, featuring a bulkhead, ply- lining, robust chequerplate flooring, and fitted storage solutions. Additional features such as pipe storage, internal work lights, and a hand wash station ensure the van is prepared for any drainage task.
At the heart of the van is the 5-Series Jetter, powered by a Yanmar 4-cylinder common rail, direct-injection diesel engine diesel engine. Despite its

compact size, it delivers an impressive 3625psi @ 13gpm.
The engine also features Yanmar's smart engine technology, displaying real-time readings of the engine RPMs, temperatures, pressures and working hours on the interactive LED display. The 5-channel remote control allows a single operator to use the machine, increasing efficiency on job sites.
Paul says that choosing the 5-Series reflects the way the jetter market is heading. “There’s more to the 5-series jetter than the other makes,” he explains. “There’s more power and more control. The display panel lets you know what’s going on with the jetter’s engine. We decided to upgrade from our 3-Series machines after talking with people who were using the 5-Series and thought it was a noticeable improvement."
Paul also appreciates the ease and flexibility that the built-in remote-control unit provides: “The remote control makes
