IDS GeoRadar announces latest

GPR offering Stream UP increases qualified accuracy of the entire Stream family

I

DS GeoRadar, a Hexagon company, announced Stream UP, the latest Ground

Penetrating Radar (GPR) offering in its Stream product line.

The new GPR is multi-channel, multi-frequency, double-polarized and lightweight. The system is dedicated to utility mapping on extensive areas that facilitates the whole process before, during and after data acquisition.

“I can’t wait to discover the new Stream UP because it has been announced as a product that will positively influence the GPR world for years to come,” said Jamie Bradburn, T2 Utility Engineers Field Operations Manager, a long-time user of Stream products.

The easiest way to capture underground utility assets

Stream UP is easy to assemble directly on site, needing only two people for transportation and assembly and just one person to make it operational. Furthermore, the total absence of contact with the ground dramatically reduces

the stress and consequently maintenance. The system now has acquisition speed up to 150 km/h (with a suggested acquisition speed of 60 km/h) and data quality higher than ever with the new control unit Embedded Digital Antenna Driver – Stream (eDAD-S).

Thanks to the new control unit, dense array antennas and dynamic stacking, data quality has been excellently maintained even at high speed. The system is compact, still keeping IDS

GeoRadar dual polarized antenna concept.

“Stream UP is the cutting-edge product for extensive utility mapping. Nothing has existed like this before,” said IDS GeoRadar President Alberto Bicci. “The innovative suspended modular frame is safer than ever thanks to shell structure and embedded anti-collision system. Furthermore, Stream UP is compliant with traffic regulations and there is no need of escort vehicles.”

Digitising facility management

Leica Geosystems and Geomap supporting customers globally in the digitalisation of facilities and asset support services

L

eica Geosystems, a Hexagon company, and Geomap, a cloud and GIS-based Integrated

Workplace Management System (IWMS), are pleased to announce global cooperation to support customers in the digitalisation of their facilities and asset support services.

Geomaps’ IWMS platform integrated with Leica Geosystems’ reality capture solutions, provide customer the ability to extend the life of mission- critical assets, assess maintenance remotely, provide

managers accurate and reliable information and use geospatial information for indoor navigation and location-based services. Digitising building portfolios in the Geomap IWMS software solution has significant benefits on asset and maintenance tracking and cost savings.

“The integration with Leica Geosystems technology offers a unique solution to manage buildings, related assets, and maintenance activities in 3D,” said Andrea Paglialunga, Business Development Manager at Geomap. “We are a long-term user of Leica Geosystems solutions, and we are excited to take the relationship a step further, where both companies will benefit from a user-friendly solution that gives, the opportunity to connect digital twins in a cloud IWMS platform”.
