The pump is the heart of a pressurized irrigation system and needs maintenance to help keep the system running smoothly.

often get asked by growers, “What is the most important thing I can do to make sure my irrigation system is working properly?” I usually tell them that a basic


understanding of the components and what you’re trying to achieve through your irrigation events is critical to efficient irrigation and energy use.


That might seem to be a generic response, but quite often, growers leave day-to-day operational decisions to employees who don’t possess adequate knowledge to make proper
