Hatton Garden
Jeweller.com was
created back in 2008 by Vincent Love- land, who used a £3,000 bank loan to secure a tiny office in Hatton Garden. It’s now grown into the beautiful, bespoke business it is today, with 700sq ft of office and workshop space, employing nine staff. Before forming Hatton Garden
Jeweller, Vincent began his career in jewellery trade by starting at the Medway College of Design, following in the footsteps of his brother Derek a watchmaker. After leaving college, Vincent secured an apprentice- ship with the jewellery house Graff Diamonds. Although working here was a great experience, working for different companies and workshops, during this time gave Vincent a well- rounded introduction to his trade. Vincent learned different techniques
and methods to overcome challenging details from the various designs that were put in front of him. With the expertise and experience he gained
over many years, Vincent became workshop manager, overseeing all the bespoke manufacturing. After honing his craft — manufacturing techniques and diamond setting — he decided to start his own workshop in the centre of Hatton Garden. To broaden his horizons,
Vincent became self-em- ployed and set up a company called Starlight Diamond Setters. Using a small loan from the bank, he rented a small office/workshop in the heart

see a gap in the market among small retail jewellery shops for good-quality restoration work and bespoke manu- facturing. Spurred on by this, Vincent acquired the
hattongardenjeweller.com in 2008 and the business hasn’t stopped expanding ever since, making Hatton Garden Jeweller one of the largest workshops in Hatton Garden. It makes and designs jewel- lery for numerous clients, carving out an excellent reputation on Tripad- visor and Trustpilot. Tis success only comes from building up a trusted team of eight people over the years.
It normally takes a trained seeking
the services of a good-quality diamond setter like Vincent. But after a time, a lot of jewellery
manufacturers disappeared due to the influx of cheaply import items from abroad. As a result, Vincent could
goldsmith about six months to adapt to the way Hatton Garden Jeweller operates, so building a team this large takes many years of finding the right skill set to complement the rest of the staff ,thus ensuring the right quality for customers. What does a bespoke service mean?
Tis is where the customer has full control of design and the type of gem stones used. When booking an appoint- ment with Hatton Garden Jeweller, the customer needs to know the details of the item that’s to be made, as well as having an idea of the budget and the type of gemstones they’d like used. At this point, Hatton Garden Jeweller will collate a comprehensive range for the customer to choose from, and the design work begins. Listening to the customer is a forte
that Hatton Garden Jeweller pride itself on — it’s an ethos that the busi- ness thrives on.
