properties in Rwanda: One&Only Nyungwe House and One&Only Gorilla’s Nest. Nyungwe House is set to open in late 2017 in Gisakura, a tea plantation next to Nyungwe National Park. Gorilla’s Nest opens next year, near the village of Kinigi. Perfect for treks to see mountain gorillas, guests will have views of Volcanoes National Park and can visit Dian Fossey’s Karisoke Camp.

Set on the hillside of the chic Gammarth area, with 1,600ft of pristine beachfront, the hotel will offer coastal views, a mix of Arabic-inspired architecture and Mediterranean influences, and a Roman-inspired spa.

1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, New York Sustainable tourism specialist hotel brand 1 Hotels opened 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge in May. Designed by local artists using native greenery and reclaimed materials, the rooftop pool has views of the East River and Manhattan. A Bamford Haybarn spa opens later this year along with an in-house restaurant.
