toes and sip a delicious cocktail from the beach bar as they unwind.

Winter sports The hotel is the only one of its kind in the Gastein Valley and occupies a very special location right on the ski slopes of Salzburgerland. Guests are able to go straight from the cosy heated infinity pool into their ski boots, with no need for a shuttle or transfer. There are 137 miles of pistes and 50 miles of cross-country ski trails surrounding the hotel, with the nearby Schlossalmbahn cable-car taking guests directly from the valley to the mountain station in the Schlossalm-Angertal-StubnerkogeI ski area without having to change. In the Gasteinertal region, visitors can go up to an altitude of 2,600 metres, making it the highest ski area in the Ski amadé network with the longest runs in the Eastern Alps. Walter, the hotel’s specialist ski guide, regularly takes guests into the Gastein ski area as part of the weekly programme and not only reveals the most rewarding descents, but also the

best places to stop for refreshments. Whether you are a speed specialist or a leisurely carver, Walter has the right tips for everyone. For all those who like things a little quieter, the

Gastein Valley offers fantastic paths and routes for winter hiking or snowshoeing. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the pistes, you can walk past snow-covered trees and frozen lakes with the winter mountain panorama of the Hohe Tauern National Park in the background. Over 62 miles of groomed winter hiking trails invite you to take long walks and hikes. Once a week, guests at DAS.GOLDBERG can also

enjoy a guided snowshoe tour with Christian, the hotel’s own hiking guide.

All seasons In the warmer months, the nature around DAS. GOLDBERG is a real feast for the eyes. In the Hohe Tauern National Park, the largest nature reserve in the Alps, 218 miles of hiking trails and an extensive network of cycle paths await active

holidaymakers. The hotel’s hiking guide will show guests the most beautiful spots in the valley around five times a week in summer. There are also numerous mountain bike trails waiting to be discovered, from a leisurely route to the Kögerlalm to more challenging trails on the Patschgstuhl or Stubnerkogel. The easiest way to do this is with a Rotwild mountain e-bike, which guests can rent directly from the hotel and zoom around on while exploring the beauiful surroundings. Those who prefer a gentler approach can take

part in the various yoga and meditation sessions offered as part of a weekly programme. A special experience for yogis is the annual Yoga Spring and Yoga Autumn Gastein, which attract beginners and professionals alike. DAS.GOLDBERG serves as a partner of the event, with guests able to take part in the yoga programme twice a day at the hotel itself. There are even outdoor sessions on offer in fair weather, featuring panoramic mountain views. You can also find peace and quiet in the yoga room, with its antique wood and artistic depictions of the surrounding landscape.

Beautiful accomodation The 65 studios and suites, most of which boast views of the valley, also offer a peaceful retreat. The décor features warm tones of brown, cream and grey, along with various kinds of wood and tasteful accessories to create a cosy atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a particularly exclusive stay in the loft suites, featuring timber construction in their design. These suites also boat open-air bathtubs on the roof terraces and an indoor fireplace for extra cosiness. The Spa Loft Suite offers its own unique highlights, including a private sauna with relaxation area and open fireplace for private relaxation after an active day outdoors.

Delicious food Culinary delights are a top priority at DAS. GOLDBERG, where sustainable and top-quality ingredients are prized. From leisurely breakfasts to fine dining, the hotel relies almost exclusively on regional produce from Austria and homemade products. In the evening, guests are spoilt with five-course menus, with dishes that can also be enjoyed individually.
