Paradiset ÖRNSKÖLDSVIK, SWEDEN
Paradiset, Sweden’s largest day spa, is located in the middle of the High Coast of Sweden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its dramatic landscapes. Between three of the rising mountains on the High Coast, you’ll find the town of Örnsköldsvik and the beautiful Paradiset spa. Paradiset’s day spa has grown exponentially
since its founding in 1992. It currently encompasses 15,000 sq ft of wellbeing, including an indoor water park and swimming hall, where children can play, ride the slides and swim. Of special note to guests who are young at heart is the exhilarating ‘Magical Eye’ — the country’s longest water slide. The colour scheme of the spa’s interior is
based on a beautiful South Sea sunset with billowing cloud formations and warm orange- red tones, with granite stone and waxed aspen creating a serene atmosphere where guests can find a sense of inner harmony while rejuvenating body and soul. The overall feel is one of peace and serenity.
Paradiset offers a large number of therapeutic
elements that can help visitors work on their mindfulness and wellbeing. Guests can float in saltwater or rest on warm beds while breathing the salty air, which can help relieve troubled airways. They can also stimulate their stress tolerance and learn to control their breathing by submerging themselves in a cold pool, participating in yoga sessions or setting off on the reflexolog path. Paradiset is also home to Sweden’s largest wooden sauna, where guests can participate in special ceremonies with essential-oil infusions. Paradiset offers guests the opportunity to
eat delicious healthy food in the lounge and bistro — spaces that are also perfect for sitting for hours and relaxing in bathrobes. There’s also a wide variety of treatments available to book. For the daring who want to invest a little extra zap to their health and energ levels, the cryotherapy chamber will provide a minus- 150C kick-start to the body’s immune system and release endorphins.
Don’t miss The Himalayan sea salt sauna is a unique environment that will calm and focus your breathing while stimulating the immune system
