and modalities handed down through generations to realign mind, body and soul — mauri (spark or life force), wairua (spirit), tapu (natural law) and whakapapa (genealog). To utilise Rongoā, a healer must become immersed in ancient spiritual teachings
while being a vessel to achieve healing alongside using physical touch to create balance and shift energies. Guests can completely relax in the knowledge that staff are fully versed in these unique treatments. Mihi’s Place offers handmade beauty products
that reflect the beautiful surroundings for all skin types. These products are handmade on site using freshly picked rākau (leaves) from the ngahere (bush) and blended with aroha (love) to create nourishing creams, lotions, oils, cleansers, toners, scrubs, exfoliants and moisturisers. There's also a range of crystal drinking bottles of natural infusions to help cleanse and rejuvenate. Mihi’s Place is the only place in the world
where guests can experience traditional Māori treatments and rituals such as honohono, haumiri, mirimiri, romiromi, karakia, mahi wairua and whitiwhiti korero. Guests will learn all about the underpinnings of these traditions from the expert practitioners and how to apply these teachings to life back home.
