Hotel Engel Ayurveda & Detox offers an authentic ayurveda experience in the Dolomites, which have UNESCO World Heritage status. Located in one of the most beautiful places in the Dolomites, between the Catinaccio and Latemar massifs, only 12.4 miles from the capital of the province of Bolzano, the Kohler family started offering authentic ayurveda and panchakarma treatments in 2014. Together with ayurveda doctor Dr Swami Nath Mishra, the only authentic practising ayurveda doctor in Italy and one of India’s leading pulse diagnosticians, they developed the Ayurveda Dolomites concept. Ayurveda is a traditional Indian healing system,
which deals with the harmonisation of the three life energies vata, pitta and kapha to bring body, mind and soul in harmony. Ayurveda Dolomites adapts this traditional medicine to the needs of Western civilisation, making it easier to continue this healthy lifestyle after the stay and to achieve a lasting effect. The focus of the programmes is on detox, regeneration, rejuvenation, mindfulness and mental health. After the initial consultation
with Dr Mishra and pulse diagnosis, the guests receive their tailor-made treatment plan. The treatments are carried out by the well-trained team of therapists with medicinal oils from India. Guests enjoy delicious food that has been
personalised to their needs in consultation between Dr Mishra and the kitchen team. The products used in the Ayurveda Dolomites cuisine are mainly from small producers and farmers from the region and are mostly organic. At the weekly cooking classes, travellers can get new ayurvedic recipes from our kitchen team. The ayurveda nature spa area entices travellers
with an outdoor saltwater infinity pool heated year round to 35°C, an outdoor forest sauna with panoramic glass window overlooking the forests, elegant relaxation rooms and the Cloud 7 room on the seventh floor with infrared beds and a direct view of the Dolomites. One of the highlights of the hotel is the Atelier, a
space for creativity and relaxation. Here, travellers can take part in various courses and workshops including meditative painting and floristry.
