Foxfires Mini Boutique Hotel LEVI, FINLAND
Levi is a fell deep within the Arctic Circle and home to a ski resort that makes the perfect base from which to enjoy and explore Finnish Lapland. Foxfires is located on the fell and surrounded by fir, pine and birch trees, the perfect place for those seeking a peaceful connection to nature. Levi is a resort that offers direct access to
a wilderness that can be explored on skis, snowshoes, husky sledges, snowmobiles or even horseback. The village centre five miles away from Foxfires has more than 20 restaurants and bars. Levi’s network of 44 ski slopes and over 124 miles of ski trails mean there’s plenty to keep snowsports enthusiasts entertained. In summer and autumn, Levi is a hiker and
mountain biker’s dream. With two months of continuous sunlight, you can explore Lapland’s great wilderness under the midnight sun. Travellers can enjoy cycling and walking trails through the unique landscape of the nearby national park. There are also many lakes for wild swimming, a great way to cool down after a day’s hiking.
Foxfires was built by Anglo-Polish couple Paul
and Aggie, who left London in 2018 to start a new life in the wild. They opened Foxfires in 2020, offering two uniquely styled private boutique guest rooms with plans for a small collection of unique cabins to come soon. The Arctic Spa is the definition of a winter
wonderland, a feast for the eyes with candles and fairy lights lighting the way. At the heart of the Arctic Spa is the cosy cabin-style wood-fired sauna, a place to unwind. Step outside to soak in the shingled outdoor hot tub and take in the natural beauty that surrounds you. Maybe the Northern Lights will dance above. What makes this spa truly special is the
traditional Lappish round hut or kota. Inside you can rest by the fire or book a sound bath to calm your soul. Foxfires also offers wellness breaks centred on
a close connection to nature between April and October. Highlights include forest bathing, yoga, sound baths, saunas, wild swimming, foraging Arctic super foods, hiking and cycling.
Don’t miss Relax in the kota (Laplander’s hut) and enjoy the open fire, where you can grill your own food or heat some mulled wine
