Uga Chena Huts YALA, SRI LANKA
Bordered by Yala National Park, a natural watering hole and a dramatic stretch of wild, untouched southern coastline, Chena Huts’ location is unique and fascinating. The immediate surroundings are rich in wildlife thanks to the profusion of coastal scrub, boulder- scattered beach and proximity to Yala, Sri Lanka’s most rewarding nature reserve where the likes of leopards, elephants, deer, sloth bear and wild boar roam freely. There are just 14 luxury freestanding cabins
positioned within a seven-acre property. The cabins are sprinkled in among the bush and accessed via long boardwalks so that each feels private, exclusive and immersed within their surroundings. Each has a pool and generous terrace for whiling away the hours in complete isolation. Boardwalks also wind through the bush to a swimming pool, restaurant and spa. Guests of all ages are welcome and children
are made to feel very special. Each spacious cabin can accommodate two extra beds, and the kitchen can customise meals (and meal
timings) for young children. All nature activities are suitable for children; however, for younger guests, the resort has devised an engaging Junior Ranger Program, which teaches curious minds about nature, wildlife and the environment. Each of the 14 cabins at Chena Huts is of the
same very high standard and each is equipped with the a selection of luxurious amenities including a private five-metre plunge pool that forms part of a large raised deck. During the hottest time of the day, guests can head out onto their deck, dive into their private pool and relax on sun beds to the sound of just the Indian Ocean and exotic birdsong. The rangers at Chena Huts are some of Sri
Lanka’s most passionate and experienced wildlife guides. As hosts of the resort’s nature experiences, they act as interpreters of the wild and seek to enhance the experience for guests on safari in Yala National Park or while exploring our wild vicinity. Their knowledge and passion for Sri Lanka’s wilderness personalises each of the experiences at the resort.
Don’t miss Experience the chance to spot and photograph local wildlife in the safe hands of seasoned and knowledgeable local guides
