Saboga Lodge SABOGA ISLAND, PANAMA
Saboga Lodge is a picturesque eco-lodge located on Saboga Island, one of the most popular islands in Panama’s Pearl Islands. This area is known for its abundant biodiversity, with a huge number of species of bird, mammal and fish. At the right time of the year, you can expect to see iguanas, exotic birds, humpback whales and dolphins. The island is a significant contributor to Panama’s status as one of the world’s most biodiverse countries. Seven beaches surround Saboga Island, including several that are perfect for swimming and Playa El Coral is just a few steps away from the lodge. Saboga Lodge strives to maintain construction
processes that are sympathetic to their environment and inclusive of the island community. Furthermore, the waste recycling process, plus the fact saltwater rather than chlorinated water is used in the pool, contribute to the designation of Saboga Lodge as an eco- lodge founded on the principles of sustainability and environmental responsibility. At Saboga Lodge, guests will have the opportunity to take
action to support nature and learn about the lodge’s eco-friendly practices. The level of comfort is Saboga Lodge is another
highlight: the beds and furniture, designed by Casa Suárez, are a pleasure when resting or relaxing while enjoying the ocean view. Meanwhile, Saboga Lodge offers an unspoiled island where sea and nature remain pristine. This is difficult to find in other islands, many of which are densely populate and over-developed. Guests can also book a tour of some of the
virgin isles located within the Pearl Islands. This usually lasts between four and six hours and is an amazing experience for beach-loving travellers. In addition, guests can book quad bike, trekking, standup paddleboard and kayak tours. The lodge has qualified English-speaking staff who are happy to teach Spanish phrases to guests who don’t speak the language. The Saboga Lodge restaurant is operated
by Lovla Café, which offers a range of cuisines, from fish/seafood dishes to vegan and other healthy options.
