The Hideaway at Hull Bay ST THOMAS, US VIRGIN ISLANDS

Described as the gateway to the Caribbean is the island of St Thomas, one of the three US Virgin Islands. Sitting adjacent to the British Virgin Islands, this volcanic island is known for its spectacular scenery, culinary experiences and world-class shopping. It’s home to stretches of rugged hills and over 40 powdery beaches where visitors can enjoy renowned watersports, including sailing and scuba diving. On the island’s north side, surrounded by

tropical foliage, is the pristine shoreline of Hull Bay, where The Hideway resides. It’s a group travel destination that can accommodate up to 36 guests in villas and cottages. Hull Bay personifies what’s referred to in the Caribbean as ‘island elegance’, providing a laid-back boutique experience that blends the look and feel of Caribbean cottages with more modern, vibrant decor. The rooms are decorated with local artwork that showcases the island’s rich cultural offerings. Surrounded by tropical fruit trees, the estate

sits on two acres of beachfront land, fondly known as The Hideaway Farm. This farm is the heart

and dominant force supporting The Hideaway’s vision of a sustainable, farm-to-table culinary and coastal experience that guests can fully immerse themselves in. The chefs work with fresh fish caught by local fishermen and ample fruit and vegetables grown on-site to curate artful contemporary dishes. Guests can choose from multi-course feasts or picnics on the beach prepared by a private chef. Hull Bay is home to the island’s favourite beach

bar and fisherman’s hangout, The Shack, offering casual dining that serves up the catch of the day and a harvested farm-to-table menu. For guests arriving at Hull Bay, the music from the restaurant, along with the scent of salt spray from the waves, swiftly sets the island vibe. The estate’s secluded beach is the perfect place

for guests to unwind and soak in the Caribbean sun. Guests can enjoy the surf break to the left or snorkelling in the waters to the right. Alternatively, visitors can sip on farm-fresh banana coladas at The Shack, from their beachside cottage or while lounging in a hammock.

DON’T MISS Enjoy a customised farm-to-table feast crafted by The Hideaway’s private chef
