Located in the heart of the Iberá Wetlands, El Transito Hotel Boutique is the ideal place for travelers to slow down and immerse themselves in secluded, unspoiled nature. Home to a staggering 4,000 plant and animal species, visitors are introduced to a range of wildlife such as capybaras, various deer species, giant otters, and hundreds of bird species. El Tránsito was built out of a cattle ranch
or estancia originally constructed in 1921, the hotel kept the original architectural style with big galleries. With only 14 rooms, this exclusive property provides guests with a truly authentic experience off the beaten path and away from the crowds. Unencumbered access to unspoiled nature combined with the expert knowledge of the hotel trained guides, makes this the ideal destination for nature-loving outdoor enthusiasts. At the heart of the hotel, the lobby bar offers the perfect setting for welcoming guests to El Transito.
Upon guests’ arrival, the hotel staff are waiting with freshly prepared drinks and local bites to set off your adventure in the Iberá Wetlands the proper way. After a brief welcome introduction to what Iberá has to offer in terms of wildlife, ecosystems and a vast array of activities, guests can take in the views from the galleries or, weather permitting, enjoy the outdoor pool right by the bar. El Transito offers full board with all drinks included. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served at The Restaurant. The menu features local dishes made with seasonal, local produce sourced responsibly from local farmers. The vast, natural landscape makes it a great
destination for Ecotourism. Tours are guided by local expertise, and for sure, leaving no trace and being respectful of the environment is a must. Guests can enjoy a boat tour through Iberá’s system of lagoons and streams, spotting capybaras, alligators, and many bird species along the way. Stop for a quick lunch or afternoon tea carefully prepared by the hotel chef immersed in the wilderness of Iberá.
