Sansara Surf and Yoga Resort LOS SANTOS, PANAMÁ

As the name suggests, surfing and yoga are the pillars of Sansara. That said, the experience extends far beyond that here. Located at the southernmost tip of Panamá, in the heart of Azuero Peninsula, one of the most uniquely diverse regions of the world due to its exposed coastline and lush tropical forests, there are no ticket offices, gated parks or line-ups in this small fishing and surfing community — for many locals, a horse is still the favoured mode of transport. There are nearly 200,000 acres of national park, hidden waterfalls and sea caves, and massive natural pools formed by volcanic rock, as well as world-class point, beach and reef-break waves. Sansara offers 13 handcrafted luxury cabañas,

each featuring locally sourced materials and a nod to their tropical backdrop. Custom stone rainfall showers, spa-inspired bathrooms, Venetian plaster walls and exposed wooden beams are just a few of the remarkable features scattered throughout the resort. In every cabaña, expect to find luxurious hypoallergenic linens, beds and pillows, organic spa products, French press coffee, a mini bar and fridge.

The resort grounds are built into nature, not

on it. A natural quebrada (freshwater spring) runs through the centre of the resort, accented by a wooden bridge that leads to an open-air, thatched roof Yoga Shala overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Pathways are anchored by tropical greens, flowers and palms. Hidden terraces and patios are abundant, providing the perfect space to sit quietly and listen to the singsong of hundreds of species of birds and the relaxing sound of waves from the Pacific Ocean lapping the beach. Open throughout the day, the full-service bar

and restaurant, Buddha Bar, is the social heart of the resort. The menu offers locally sourced farm and sea-to-table dishes, focusing on healthy nourishment with all the pleasure of international cuisine. At the bar, enjoy healthy natural juices, beautifully crafted cocktails and mocktails, and local artisanal beers. Sansara has been mindfully created to inspire

and encourage the conscientious traveller to tap into their untouched potential, explore endless possibilities and foster meaningful connections.

DON’T MISS Join an adrenaline-filled guided 4×4 tour along the rocky coastline, culminating at immense volcanic rock natural pools
