MEET THE EXPERT
Consultant ENT surgeon/rhinologist
Clinical services — rhinology Professor Chatrath’s specialist inter- ests include nose and sinus problems, children’s ENT disorders and snoring. He has a particular interest in balloon sinuplasty, a minimally invasive technique used in the treatment of sinusitis, as well as complex nasal and septal reconstruction following trauma or previous surgery. Tis often involves addressing the highly chal- lenging area of the nasal valve, which can require titanium nasal implants, grafting with the patient’s own carti- lage, or the less-invasive intranasal z-plasty repair.
Cosmetic rhinoplasty A successful rhinoplasty depends on careful consideration of the patient’s expectations and wishes, balanced against what is technically feasible. Tis usually begins with an analysis of the structure of the internal nose, as getting the foundations right assists not only in terms of breathing and function but also in enabling the best possible aesthetic result. As an experi- enced rhinoplasty surgeon, Professor Chatrath is uniquely placed to be able
to tailor his approach to patients’ indi- vidual requirements from a thorough understanding of the delicate interac- tion between function and form that arises from his extensive ENT training.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty and facelift These procedures are frequently performed by non-medically quali- fied therapists. Professor Chatrath is one of the few rhinoplasty surgeons who offers non-surgical rhinoplasty and facelifts in addi- tion to his surgical practice. Thanks to
