I love my Armadilo ones because they are so soft and they actually look good, which doesn’t matter so much on big expeditions but helps when you're just out and about on daytrips with the kids in the UK.

I use this every time I go 'outside' now. It’s tough and lightweight, and I expect I'll be using it for decades to come. My son has his Talon Jnr osprey daysack too, he loves it because it matches mine but also because of all the gear loops/pockets etc. I don't go on many adventures without him now so his kit is my kit.

I like my Paramo jacket because it’s a bit longer than most jackets, which keeps my legs drier if I don't want the hassle of waterproof trousers. I've had the same stove for 12 years; it is indestructible. It’s been soaked in salt water, at sea, for weeks on end and it’s been bashed about at the bottom of my pack, but it still works. It may not boil one litre of water in a minute anymore (I think that is their USP) because it really has taken a battering, but if you're not in a hurry (I rarely 'have' to boil a litre in a minute anyway) it’s great. I'm just very impressed that it’s still going strong.
