NI Travel News attends Irish Travel Trade Show, Dublin

NI Travel news’ Jonathan Adair and Nadine Lawrence were delighted to attend the 10th annual Official Irish Travel Trade Show in Dublin on 23rd April.

The event took place in the InterContinental Hotel, proudly sponsored by Dublin Airport. Organised on behalf of the Irish Travel Agents Association, the event welcomed over 100 global travel brands giving

travel agents, tour operators and

travel media the opportunity to network and build relationships and explore new business opportunities. The ITAA hosted complimentary training sessions exclusively for ITAA members ahead of both the Cork and Dublin trade shows which included focused training modules, both events

concluded the evenings

with a networking reception at 7:30pm, offering further opportunities for industry engagement. Well done on a fantastic event and thank you for inviting NI Travel News.

before later opening up to international markets. Following a refit in 2025, the ship wel- comed several upgrades including the addition of signature venues such as the very popular O’Malley’s Irish Bar. A key take away during the visit was Prin- cess Cruises’ MedallionClass service. The Medallion acts as an upgraded version of a traditional cruise card, which con- nects with sensors around the ship and to guests’ phones. Guests can do many things such as order food and drinks to many areas of the ship.

The Medallion is also used as a key to guests’ cabins, and crew can also see what the guests love to drink giving a more personalised experience onboard, not to mention a way to communicate with fam- ily on board. This is a fantastic look into

how technology is con- tinuing to elevate guest experience throughout the cruise industry. Following the tour, agents enjoyed a deli- cious three-course lunch in the Symphony Dining room, where attendees were looked after by at- tentive hospitality staff on board. Many Thanks to Abbie, Evie & Princess cruises for the invite and a won- derful day onboard.
