Franklin Bronze Precision Components is pleased to announce the purchase of a


new Doosan Puma Mill GT 2600M Mill Drill Turning Center. The high-performance turning center gives their in-house machine shop greater capacity with live tooling plus the ability to mill, tap, and drill. Franklin Bronze has partnered with Allegheny Machine Tool Systems for the


purchase and installation of the new Doosan Puma Turning Center. “The machine’s live tooling allows us to turn and mill castings in one setup. It will greatly improve productivity and throughput while adding capacity,” states John Mangoyan, General Manager Designed for heavy interrupted cutting, long-term accuracy, and superior


surface finishes, the Doosan Puma Turning Center enables machinists to complete jobs quickly with less operations. This investment has upgraded current machining capabilities and part production, reinforcing their commitment of continuous improvement to our customers.

Working with the third-generation owner, Kevin implemented lean techniques and built the commercial strategy for the business. He drove a product simplification process that greatly reduced manufacturing complexity. Prior to that he was a division controller at Maverick Tube Corporation and at GKN Aerospace Inc.


As President of O’Fallon, Kevin will be responsible for leading and developing the business to ensure profitable, sustainable growth while continuing our history of delivering the highest quality castings to our customers. Working closely with the existing senior leadership team, Kevin will develop and deploy a strategy that will enable O’Fallon to grow its leadership position in the market and continue to embody casting excellence. Vince Gimeno, the current


General Manager at O’Fallon Casting, will work closely with Kevin over the next year to help him learn the intricacies of the investment casting process.


Vince will stay on in his current role until he retires.
