Family Owned Kittyhawk, Inc. Celebrates Four Decades of Offering HIP Solutions

amily owned and operated in the United States—Kittyhawk, Inc. was founded in 1981 and has spent more than four decades delivering Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) solutions to some of the most reputable names in manufacturing. Their mission began with a single processing unit backed by a passionate team and eventually developed into a large-scale operation serving an impressive list of clients across multiple facilities in California and Oregon. “We’ve been lucky to enjoy an incredible amount of growth in recent years,” said Brandon Creason (President of Kittyhawk). “Largely due to the overall success and satisfaction of our customers. For us, that has always been the most important focus of our Hot Isostatic Pressing work.”

Hot Isostatic Pressing eliminates voids to increase density, creates high strength bonds, and is a high-tech, high-quality and cost-effective solution for improving the production of metal parts. Hot Isostatic Pressing is commonly

used for the densification of metal castings. Defects and voids can be eliminated, increasing overall strength and durability without changing the shape of a part. The process meets evolving demands to produce higher quality goods while lowering production costs by improving mechanical properties, eliminating porosity, and reducing scrap rate. “We work in partnership with a

wide variety of investment casting manufacturers,” Brandon Creason continued, “solving complex material and design problems as part of our commitment ensuring our customers always deliver the best quality parts and products possible.”
