Member, Pittsburg State University and the Graduate Gorillas team, who won the grand prize with their Halligan bar in the 2024 Cast in Steel Competition. The competition was created by Steel Founders' Society of America (SFSA). Out of 46 teams from around


the world, Pittsburg State’s team took first place overall and first place in performance testing for their Halligan bar in the annual International Cast in Steel competition in Milwaukee. The team was directed by Engineering Technology Professor Russ Rosmait. Students collaborated with the Pittsburg Fire Department on design elements of this tool designed to aid firefighters.
