Fast, Reliable, Affordable, Visual Inspection!
We have seen this for many years on airline and travel sites, but, now with online user tracking and deeper data mining, machine learning can identify subtle patterns which previous software (and certainly not people) could identify. This more in-depth, more granular, level of data mining by AI pricing algorithms can allow for defi ning more optimized prices, and hence, revenue for carriers. There is no privacy, but at least you can get rewarded with special deals while searching for travel choices! Price (or revenue) optimization is another related topic as it is increasingly diffi cult for various reasons, such as the continued expansion of low-cost carriers. This is closely associated with dynamic pricing, but by utilizing AI algorithms, airlines may be able to optimize sales revenue in the longer term to ensure all fl ights are optimally booked using analysis from historical trends and studying macro pricing across markets. Price is not always everything (especially for private aviation), and all carriers must balance the need to maximize profi ts, provide better customer travel experiences and customer service. This can be quite the balancing act.
FLIGHT DELAYS Flight delays are a signifi cant irritation point for travelers and an even bigger one for airlines/operators. Airlines, air cargo companies, and private aircraft operators have made managing such events into an art form over the previous decades, and as more data capture via near- real-time weather mechanisms and information provided by airports and navigation service providers will enable AI-based systems with a means of better handling such events. This is not only the prediction of delays due to inclement weather or maintenance
