Vote A night to remember
Whether it’s your first time at the Globe Travel Awards or you’re a stalwart guest, being in-the- know about the ceremony will ensure you don’t miss a beat. Here’s what to expect on the night. Once guests are dressed to the nines and
arrive at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House on Park Lane, the drinks reception will be ready and waiting. It’s a fantastic chance to greet friends in the industry and make new connections. Look out for a delightful mix of sparkling fizz and soft drinks to sip while catching up with colleagues. Next, sweep down the staircase to the glittering
Great Room, London’s largest ballroom. This grand space has been welcoming guests since 1929 – the eagle-eyed will spot art deco stylings on the balcony railings and tulip-shaped chandeliers – and tonight, it plays host to the best and brightest in travel. The show begins with some welcome words
from Travel Weekly’s editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley and Stu Parish, UK chief executive of parent company Jacobs Media. The audience will be on their feet as the winners of the Special Awards are
revealed, fabulous acts take to the stage and the surprise celebrity host is unveiled, getting the Globes well and truly underway. There will also be plenty of
entertainment beyond the awards, from comedy sets to competitions with big prizes, while music is sure to draw everyone to the dance floor. Amid the fun there will be reflective moments too, whether it’s remembering much-missed colleagues, learning about profound achievements by standout individuals or supporting the night’s charity partner. Immediately following the awards ceremony, the buzzing after-party lasts until the early hours, offering Globes guests the chance to let their hair down and end the night in style – whether that’s putting your dancing shoes on or catching up over a drink.
