6) Pigeon Island National Park Pigeon Island was originally surrounded by water but was joined to the mainland of Saint Lucia by a manmade causeway in the 1970s. It is now a National Park and National Landmark. On the island, you can fi nd the ruins of military buildings which were used during battles between the French and British for Saint Lucia. Head to the look-out point for breathtaking panoramic views of the north west coastline and climb up Fort Rodney for glimpses of Rodney Bay and, on a clear day, the neighbouring island of Martinique.
7) Helicopter Tour Saint Lucia boasts thick rainforests and much of it is very mountainous. See it from the skies to get a complete view of all the island has to offer and its spectacular scenery, from offshore reefs to waterfalls and smaller villages to historical sites.
