Scenic unveils 28 new itineraries among 85 ocean voyages for 2023-24
Scenic has released its 2023-24 programme for its ocean-going fleet, featuring 85 voyages due to visit more than 50 countries across every continent. Destinations include Indonesia, the Pacific Islands, Australia, the Caribbean and Scotland. The programme, which includes sailings on incoming vessel Scenic Eclipse II, has 28 new itineraries.

Emerald adds Great Danube sailing and city-stay extensions
Emerald Cruises has included a new 11-day Danube sailing in its 2023 Europe cruise programme. The Great Danube sailing
from Passau to Belgrade in April 2023 is one of the new options in the range, which also includes debut city-stay extensions including Copenhagen, Seville and Oktoberfest in Munich. Prices for the cruise, departing
on April 17, 2023, start at £3,295; an earlybird offer for a balcony suite starts at £3,745. On selected Rhine itineraries,
passengers can extend their trip with three nights in Copenhagen. The 11-day Jewels of the Rhine cruise with Copenhagen extension, departing on April 28 next year, starts from £2,820. New ports of call on the eight-
day Danube Delights itinerary include Engelhartszell and Krems.

American Cruise Line to build 12 ships
American Cruise Lines plans to build 12 identical sister ships to more than double its capacity for US domestic coastal cruises. Each ship will accommodate 109 passengers. The first two are due to make their debut in 2023 on East Coast itineraries and will be named American Eagle and American Glory.

Cunard launches programme of 150-plus sailings for 2023

Cunard has unveiled more than 150 new international voyages for next year. The ‘World Awaits’ 2023 programme is available to
book for past passengers from Monday (February 1) and goes on general sale the following day. Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary 2 and Queen
Victoria will call at 120 ports in 35 countries, with 23 late-evening departures and 15 overnight stays. Voyages, running from April 23 to December 15,
2023, range from two nights to 37 nights in duration. QM2 will sail 18 transatlantic crossings between
Southampton and New York. Other highlights include a Mediterranean fly-cruise
season from Barcelona, a series of 10-night Alaska departures, an Independence Day sailing calling at Boston, and a 16-night Baltics voyage with an overnight call in St Petersburg.

Mediterranean sailing, departing from Barcelona on September 18, 2023 and calling at Naples, Civitavecchia (Rome) and Palma de Mallorca, is £849. Ports of call on the Alaska sailings from Vancouver
include Juneau, Skagway, Sitka and Ketchikan, all in Alaska, and Victoria, Canada, with prices from £1,199. The 16-night Baltic Highlights cruise on Queen
Victoria, sailing from Southampton on May 9, 2023, leads in at £2,049. Ports of call include Hamburg, Germany; and Alesund, Olden and Innvikfjorden, all Norway. Prices for a 14-night Canada and New England
voyage on Queen Mary 2, offering three days in Quebec, lead in from £1,649. Sture Myrmell, president of Carnival UK, said: “The

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines introduces £49 document preparation service
Fred Olsen Cruise Lines is offering a new service to check passengers’ paperwork three weeks prior to departure. As part of its Travel Ready Service, which costs from £49, the line will collect Passenger Locator Forms and NHS vaccination letters, and order Covid-19 tests on behalf of passengers.
