Roma Experience opens up city with new accessible tours
Roma Experience has designed new accessible Rome tours in partnership with disability advocates. Te new tours explore the
Colosseum and Vatican City, in a destination not generally renowned for accessibility. Te Vatican tour includes the
Sistine Chapel, accessible via an elevator, and the chance to skip the queue at St Peter’s Basilica. On the Colosseum tour,
the first and second floors are accessible via a liſt. Davide Bolognesi, marketing
manager, said: “Italy is not one of those countries that would typically be considered easily accessible for those with additional access needs, due to its cobbled streets and rolling hills. “We believe these treasures of
humanity should be [accessible] to everyone.” Roma Experience’s accessible
tours include a vehicle specifically modified for wheelchair users, itineraries adapted for those with access needs, an expert tour guide, and skip-the-line entry.

Brian Langford joins Links Travel
