NEWS YOU CAN USE THEME PARK
Disneyland’s new Avengers Campus is open for recruits
Samantha Mayling
Disneyland Paris has opened Marvel Avengers Campus, a themed area that brings the films, TV series and comics to life. Film stars including Captain
Marvel actor Brie Larson joined Disney bosses at a ceremony ahead of the opening to celebrate the new attraction. Visitors can meet Spider-Man,
Iron Man or Captain Marvel in a new building, the Hero Training
Center. A dynamic “freeze frame” video sequence, created by Disney PhotoPass with 27 cameras, can capture these meetings. Visitors can also see Thor and
his powerful hammer; train with Black Panther’s protectors, the Dora Milaje; and learn how to become Warrior Allies of Wakanda. Other attractions include a
rollercoaster, called Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, and Spider-Man Web Adventure, where technology enables guests
to sling webs from their wrists. Dining options are available
at sites such as Pym Kitchen and Stark Factory, and souvenirs are available at the Mission Equipment shop. Walt Disney Travel Company
is offering a two-night stay from January 23, 2023, from £260 per person, based on two adults and two children aged three to 11. It includes staying at Disney’s
Hotel Santa Fe, unlimited access to Disneyland Park and Walt Disney
Spider-Man Web Adventure
Studios Park and return flights. A two-night stay for a family of four travelling by Eurostar costs £386 per person, departing in October. Disneyland Paris president
Natacha Rafalski said: “Marvel Avengers Campus marks a significant step forward in the ongoing expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park and our overall transformation, with original storytelling and a uniquely engaging experience.”
