MSC to put Explora Journeys’ first cruises on sale in autumn

MSC Group’s new luxury brand, Explora Journeys, will put its maiden programme on sale this autumn. The first of four vessels, Explora I, will arrive in 2023


with the remaining ships due to enter service in 2024, 2025 and 2026. The ship’s debut programme will feature Bordeaux,


Saint-Tropez and Reykjavik among its ports of call and sailings will be seven nights or longer. Calls to Kastellorizo, Greece; Bozcaada, Turkey; and


Norway’s Lofoten Islands will also feature, MSC said. A 14-deck vessel, Explora I will offer 461 ocean-


facing suites and residencies with floor-to-ceiling windows and a terrace area. Suites will begin at 35 square metres in size,


compared with about 21 square metres for interior suites in MSC Yacht Club, MSC Cruises’ existing ship-within-a-ship luxury concept. Outdoor decks on Explora I will feature 64 private

cabanas across three outdoor pools and a fourth pool will have a retractable glass roof. Several indoor and outdoor bars, lounges and spas


will also be available on board. Nine restaurants will offer flexible dining times and
