Holiday Extras boosts Covid-19 cover on its insurance policies

Holiday Extras has increased the level of Covid-19 cover in its insurance policies. Cancellation is now covered

if the policyholder or anyone insured on their policy contracts coronavirus before travelling and receives a positive test within 14 days of the travel start date. The enhancement applies to

its top levels of insurance: Gold, Platinum, Cruise Medical and Cruise Gold. The trade-friendly add-ons

brand had already introduced Covid-19 insurance covering infection while travelling. Adam Edinburgh, head of

commercial (insurance) at Holiday Extras, said: “Holiday Extras’ latest market research shows that 82% of people who flew abroad in the last year plan to do so again either this year or next. Even with Spain temporarily off the quarantine-exemption list, most of last year’s holiday market is keen to travel soon. As we know they need good travel insurance to protect their trip if they fall ill, we expanded our cover to help.” holidayextras.com
