THIS WEEK’S BEST PICTURES FROM THE FRONTLINE OF TRAVEL

1. More than 50 agents tour Teesside International ahead of operator Balkan Holidays’ second year of summer flights from the airport in 2020. 2. About 30 agents pose after dinner at the St Regis hotel in Abu Dhabi during a five-day mega-fam. Agents from the likes of Trailfinders, Travel

Counsellors and Travelbag visited Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Zaya Nurai Island and the Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi theme park. 3. Agents from Go Travel, Baldwins Travel and Hallmark Travel are among those flying the Canadian flag on a Prestige Holidays fam trip to the country. Six agents enjoyed sightseeing trips of Quebec and Montreal on one itinerary, while another group of agents toured British Columbia. 4. Delegates at Abta’s Travel Convention in Tokyo last month take part in a sponsored bike ride for Abta LifeLine, raising more than £2,000. Around 50 people pedalled for the charity, as Abta LifeLine launched an appeal to raise funds for former Thomas Cook staff made redundant.
