ADVENTURE FOR ALL

Experience some of the world’s most spectacular destinations in style with National Geographic - Lindblad Expeditions

In 1966, Lars Eric Lindblad sailed his way into the history books as the first person to take civilian travellers to Antarctica. Fast forward almost 60 years and Lindblad Expeditions continues to take intrepid travellers to captivating destinations in the farthest corners of the globe.

Born from Lars’ love of exploration, and founded by his son Sven who is now co-chair of the line’s board, National Geographic - Lindblad Expeditions brings travellers face to face with some of the world’s most impressive natural wonders, from the penguin colonies of Antarctica to the iceberg-studded waters of the Arctic. And those who choose to travel with National Geographic - Lindblad Expeditions can tick off more than just the polar regions – the line also sails in California, the Galápagos Islands, Costa Rica, Alaska and the Mediterranean, to name just a few.

Explore more Witnessing natural marvels and enjoying once-in-a- lifetime excursions are just part of the magic of a National Geographic - Lindblad Expeditions sailing. The line’s long- standing collaboration with National Geographic means that photography instructors, lecturers and naturalists are on board alongside Lindblad’s expedition teams to offer rich insights into the destination and ensure guests get the most out of their sailing experience.

With sailings bringing together experts from the worlds of science, exploration, literature, music, photography and culture, guests can enjoy everything from guided treks and lectures on local life to traditional music performances

and photography classes. The collaboration is in place until 2040, guaranteeing awe-inspiring experiences for years to come.

Family fun The youngest voyagers are also well looked after on board. The National Geographic family programmes are available on select voyages, designed to help guests aged 18 and under hone their observation skills, explore like scientists and capture their experiences through photography and art. Activities available for aspiring explorers include wildlife watching from a Zodiac, collecting plankton to analyse under a microscope and learning about constellations on the ship’s top deck amid perfect darkness.

Guests of any age can marvel at a sea of ice castles reflected under the sun-drenched midnight sky from one of the glass igloos found on board the line’s newest ships National Geographic Endurance and National Geographic Resolution. A one-night stay in an igloo is free of charge and can be requested on board in a lottery style system.
