STUDIO UPGRADE
HSSP Architects invests in headquarters to support growth and culture
Melton Mowbray-based HSSP Architects has completed a transformation of its headquarters, creating a workplace designed to support the next phase of the practice’s growth.
The studio has kept pace with the times with various layouts and improvements over the years, but the refurbishment hails a new way of working. With continued growth, an expanding team and an increasingly high-profi le portfolio, HSSP needed a space that matched its ambitions - one designed to foster collaboration, fl exibility and a better client experience.
The project has been delivered by Ashby-based workplace consultancy Blueprint Interiors, the same company that originally designed the space for HSSP more than a decade ago. The redesigned workspace now offers a range of environments to suit different ways of working, including quiet spaces, collaborative project areas, meeting rooms, mentoring spaces and informal social settings. The new layout also improves fl ow through the studio, encouraging greater interaction between the team while creating a more welcoming experience for clients.
The investment forms part of
HSSP’s wider growth strategy, with the practice recently recruiting two new team members.
Rather than designing around desks, the new workplace has been planned around people and how they interact throughout the working day. Team members now have the freedom to choose spaces that best suit the task at hand, whether that’s focused individual work, project collaboration, informal catch ups or confi dential conversations.
unit and a 300,000 ft2 the 500,000 ft2 unit, with a further

The masterplan for WestWorks Corby places sustainability and innovation at its core. All buildings are designed to achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and EPC A+ ratings, with extensive landscaping, ecological enhancements and high- quality amenity space ensuring the
development delivers both environmental and social value. Located close to the A43 and A14,
WestWorks Corby offers excellent connectivity to the national motorway network, making it an attractive location for logistics operators, manufacturers and advanced industrial occupiers seeking modern, energy-effi cient space within the Midlands’ ‘Golden Triangle’. The site also benefi ts from a 20 MVA power supply, a signifi cant draw for occupiers with high energy requirements. Based in Blaby, Leicestershire,
IMA Architects is one of the region’s leading architectural practices, with a strong track record in industrial, logistics, retail, and commercial projects.
