Now draw an equilateral triangle.
Puzzler Can you use a pencil and ruler to change the shapes below into new shapes?

Parallelograms
A parallelogram has four sides. Opposite sides are parallel and equal in length. It has no lines of symmetry unless it is a square, rectangle or rhombus. Usually one pair of edges is longer than the other. Opposite sides are equal.
1. Using a ruler and a pencil, draw 4 parallelograms in your copy. Mark in the following on each:
a) Parallelogram 1 – parallel lines c) Parallelogram 3 – obtuse angles
b) Parallelogram 2 – acute angles
d) Parallelogram 4 – measure each line and write down the length to prove that opposite sides are equal.
