2024 Dartmouth Pannier Market, Tuesday 10th December

artmouth Fatstock Show will be held in the Dartmouth Pannier Market on Tuesday 10th December. Te Show starts


at around 10.30am with the judging of cattle, sheep and Christmas poultry and will be an excellent opportunity to meet the exhibitors and farmers from nearby parishes for the cut and thrust competition and friendly banter. Te Show is a rare opportunity where the town meets the country and for people to see the best quality animals many of which are reared on the hills surrounding the town. It gives townsfolk the opportunity to get up close and personal with the finest quality show animals. Te event gives everyone the chance to buy their


geese, ducks and chickens have been produced on local farms to exceptionally high standards . Te vast majority will be oven ready rather than undrawn. We hope locals will continue to support the Show by purchasing some of the poultry on display. Te cattle and sheep have been bred

chance to buy their Christmas poultry direct from local producers at the afternoon auction


and reared on many local farms, some very close to the town itself; last year’s champion bullock was exhibited by Mr S.B. Trant of Dittisham. Te judging takes place throughout


the morning and the aſternoon then commences with the prize and cup presentation at 2pm, followed by the grand draw and then the auction of the


Christmas poultry, cattle and sheep. Te Show will also be making donations to local


Christmas poultry direct from local producers at the aſternoon auction. Te good news is that the turkeys,


charities, with the Show’s President, Keith Grant of Te Sportsmans Arms, presenting the cheques on the day of the Show.
