t Music Festival 2024 will soon be here and the organisers are delighted to announce it is bigger and better than ever! By Emilie Heard
Dar Dart Music Festival May 17, 18, 19 2024 O
ur brilliant partners at the Dart Marina Hotel have agreed to host our new TQ T stage. Tis is a stage that is solely devoted
alent
to showing off some of our own homegrown talent from the TQ postcodes and, believe us, there is plenty of it! We can’t think of a nicer place than the Marina to sit and have something nice to drink and listen to some of the best that Devon can offer. We are also really excited to announce our new
Sunday Brunch and Chill project. Tis takes place over five venues in the town - Te Flavel, Te Dolphin Inn, Te Embankment Bistro, Kendricks and Te Sail Loſt – on the Sunday of the festival. Tese are all great places where you can go and kick back and have
something to eat to start your Sunday off in style while listening to a set from one of our hand picked bands. Our old friends SoSlam will be in Dartmouth
again this year. Tis not for profit record label come down here from Essex en masse every year and have very much made themselves part of the legend that is DMF. Tis year we have given them a whole venue, graciously supplied by the Sail Loſt, where you can see their acts and chat to them all weekend. We urge you to spend some time with this lot. Tey are ridiculously talented, super friendly and they absolutely love Dartmouth. What more can you ask for? We know you love to watch all our amazing music,
who wouldn’t? But we also want you to get involved. With a view to this on the Sunday of the festival we are offering a whopping six free-to-attend workshops. Bring the kids along for a family sing with the
wonderful Holly Ebony who brings singing and music to life for all age groups. Or join the fantastic Selena Mara for her singing workshop, aimed at all age ranges and abilities. Te songs are promised to be easy to learn and are taught by ear so it doesn’t matter if you can’t read music. In fact it doesn’t matter if you think you can’t sing. Tere is nothing better than singing in a harmonious group...and that is science! Both promise to be a fun-filled hour and a wonderful way to exercise those vocal chords. For the budding Mark Knopflers and Eric Claptons
