BLM 2015
The 4th Annual Base Oil & Lubes Middle East Conference (BLM 2015), hosted by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and jointly organised by the Conference Connection Inc and Petrosil Group, was successfully held on 22- 23 April 2015 at Jumeirah at Etihad Towers, in conjunction with the 23rd Annual Middle East Petroleum and Gas Conference (MPGC 2015), the Gulf region’s longest running annual oil conference, on 19-21 April 2015 in Abu Dhabi.
BLM 2015 attracted a diverse geographic attendance, bringing together over 100 base oil and lubes industry leaders from
60 companies in 15 countries together with a wide-cross section of the global base oil and lubricants market with the Middle East drawing over 80% with UAE having the biggest number, Asia at 12%, Europe at 4% and USA at 3%.
The conference presentations were covered by a select group of 16 experts from the Middle East, Asia and USA. The attendees and speakers enjoyed the in-depth discussions and the lively interactive exchange of views on day one of the conference, and in the afternoon of day two, delegates participated in a post-conference workshop on Changing Base Oil Quality and Its Impact on
Formulations led by Dr H E Henderson, President, K & E Petroleum Consulting LLC, USA; which was one of the highlights of the conference.
Delegate feedback has indicated that the event provided a good spread of topics, high calibre speakers, quality presentations and premium networking opportunities. The delegate response rated the networking opportunities, programme and speakers as their key reasons for attending.
