Sustainability and Certification – fully certified Ecoline products are currently undergoing the ISCC certification process. ISCC is one of the leading certification systems for sustainability and greenhouse gas emissions. The European Commission has recognized ISCC as one of the first certification schemes to demonstrate compliance with the EU Renewable Energy Directive’s (RED) requirements. Our Ecoline products are ISCC PLUS certified as well which has been developed especially for food, feed, technical/chemical (e.g. bioplastics) and other bioenergy applications (e.g. solid biomass).
ISCC certification can be applied to meet legal requirements in the bioenergy markets as well as to demonstrate the sustainability and traceability of feedstock in the food, feed and chemical industries. The green origin of the products therefore provides our customers with an excellent opportunity for a differentiated product range in their relevant industries.
Greenhouse Gas Emissions – 40% reduction Since the Ecoline products are derived from crude palm oil, the products offer a considerably lower CO2
footprint compared to
standard fossil fuel derived products. This enables companies to pursue and achieve their strategically set sustainability goals and provides greater efficacy for environmentally-friendly and sustainability-conscious industries. There is potential for this reduction to go up to 70% depending on additional sources of raw feedstock.
up to 82% biodegradable in 28 days. This is mainly due to biotic degradation by numerous organisms that utilise alkane substrates as an energy source.
Biodegradability and Biotoxicity – up to 82% biodegradable Due to their renewable source, extrapolated test results prove that the Ecoline products are readily biodegradable and using the CO2
In fish, crustaceans and algae, the Ecoline products have not demonstrated any adverse short term-toxic effects, due to the products’ inert nature. Long term toxicity was measured in crustaceans and no significant toxic effects were observed on

With a clear domination of C15, C16 and C18 components in HSP 3, HSP 4 and HSP 5 respectively, Ecoline oils can be selected to meet technical application needs. For example the high iso- paraffinic C15 content results in outstanding cold properties, a key feature for cold climate applications, such as hydraulic fluids and heat transfer media.
parental generations. Low toxicity was concluded for sediment organisms thus Ecoline HSP products can be regarded as non- hazardous to the aquatic environment.
