Board Member Vacancy
Verification of Lubricant Specifications (VLS) is a lubricants industry initiative to protect the consumer by assuring the quality of commercially-available finished products within the United Kingdom.
Governed by an independent Supervisory Board made up of a cross section of industry members, a vacancy now exists for a non executive director to join the Supervisory Board.
The role of board members is to safeguard the interests of VLS and represent its members. Individuals from member companies of both VLS and the United Kingdom Lubricants Association (UKLA) who possess significant senior management experience of base oil manufacture, lubricant blending, additive technology or finished lubricant marketing, are invited to apply for this role. Applications from associated industries and end users are also welcome.
It is expected that board members will live in the United Kingdom and would commit to four board meetings a year as well as a regular monthly telephone conference and associated time in support of the role. Mindful of the pressures of time on board members, much of our day to day business is conducted electronically.
This role is entirely voluntary and without remuneration. To apply please send a copy of your current c.v. and a covering letter to VLS Secretariat at
admin@ukla-vls.org.uk or write to VLS Secretariat, Verification of Lubricant Specifications, Berkhamsted House, 121 High Street, Berkhamsted, Herts. HP4 2DJ. England.
For a confidential discussion contact David Wright, UKLA Director General on 01442 861080. Applications should be received by Thursday 30th April 2015.
