HSE Committee: The HSE subgroups continue their work, particularly on Safe and Sustainable by Design initiative (SSbD) for which an explanation can be found in an article of this edition of the Lube Magazine. The subgroup is looking for additional members, with technical or with a sustainability sensitivity to improve work. The REACH subgroup is following the latest developments regarding the REACH regulation revision proposal expected to be published by the European Commission at the end of the year. The CLP subgroup is also following updates on the CLP regulation revision proposal and the Delegated Act on new hazard classes, expected to be published by the European Commission this fall 2022.

Technical and Competition Committees: The Technical and Competition Committees continue to work on various technical and competition cases currently open and exchange on the latest development in EU policies. Recently, many cases were closed, while others are moving in the right direction.

The Committees are particularly attentive to the revision of the Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulation (MVBER) and its Supplementary Guidelines, for which the European Commission has published its proposal in early July. The Committees will now work on the public consultation and on the call for evidence opened until 30 September.
