This was followed by a productive Q&A chaired by Geoff Mackey (Group Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Director, BASF) with Mika Kettunen, Chevron, Colin Morton, Lubrizol, Alex Ball, Blendtek, Bill Downey, Novvi, Paul Booth, GB Lubricants and Chris Hines. Lively discussion and audience participation ensured this was a very popular session.

The afternoon panel discussion and audience Q&A session continued the discussion chaired by Mike McCabe (Director, Europe, Valvoline Europe). Participants include Tommi Jarvinen, Avista Green, Tobias Tasche, SIP Specialty Oils and Fluids, Sabrina Craciun, Kline Group, Greg Edwards, Certas Energy and Chris Hines.


Peter Vickers (Chairman, Vickers Oils & UEIL Sustainability Logistics & Production Working Group.) concluded the day with his own thoughts and asked the audience to remain silent for 30 seconds and give thought to how they could take away positive change and impact from the day.

John Eastwood presents the UEILs position on sustainability.


Following lunch John Eastwood (UEIL Sustainability Committee Lead for Communications and Head of Global Business Development, Energy Technologies, Croda.) gave an excellent opening presentation on Global Attitudes and Approaches to Sustainability with an overview from the UEIL including the objectives of the Committee, working


group progress, the regulatory requirement and needs of the European lubricant industry.


Sabrina Craciun (Senior Business Development Manager, Kline & Company) followed with an informative presentation on Global Attitudes and Approaches, based on the results of the sustainability survey conducted jointly by Lube and Kline.
