Young Employee of the Year – Winner, Ben Walter, Petrico, with a Special Commendation for Matt Thom of Lubrizol
team, Director General, David Wright, the Secretariat, Megan Humphreys and Tracey Barnes and UKLA’s Lube media team, Andrianne Philippou and Laurie McHale. We are very grateful for your ongoing contributions and for helping to make this occasion the memorable night that it was!
Dinner guests had enjoyed the clever sleight of hand table magic of our roving magicians throughout the evening; the main entertainment began after the Awards ceremony, with special guest speaker, Dr Phil Hammond. It’s fair to say that the audience was thoroughly entertained by Dr Phil’s prescription for life, aka Dr Phil’s Daily Clangers and for an industry that loves acronyms, his ‘CLANGERS’ definitely hit the spot:
C - Connect L – Learn / Love / Laugh A – (be) Active N – Notice G – Give back E – Eat well R – Relax S – Sleep
With the gala dinner, awards ceremony and evening’s entertainment complete, the night was given over to the much anticipated time for networking, conversations with friends, associates, colleagues and clients. It was a great way to reconnect after a very long two year gap. And a struggle to ask guests to depart for carriages. It seemed nobody wanted to leave!
Of course, the Annual Dinner is only possible thanks to the fantastic support of both our sponsors and guests. Your generosity and commitment ensures the evening is a great success and is very much appreciated by the UKLA Board and by the UKLA
We look forward to seeing you all again in 2022!
