Poggenpohl
Big news at Poggenpohl was its collaboration with Hettich. The components and fittings brand will be supplying products for some of Poggenpohl’s portfolio. Poggenpohl managing director Ralf Marohn said: “In Hettich, we have selected an innovative supplier who excellently implements Poggenpohl’s high standards as a premium manufacturer. With this cooperation, Poggenpohl is now taking another important step into the future in the area of drawer and pull-out designs.” At Hettich, managing director Uwe Kreidel said: “Poggenpohl is the oldest and best-known kitchen brand in the world. We want to work with Poggenpohl to implement the best solutions that a top kitchen manufacturer can offer.”
The open house happened only 19 days after Poggenpohl was taken over by the German subsidiary of the Jomoo Group in China on September 1 after filing for bankruptcy at the beginning of April. The Venovo kitchens on display were based on open-plan living. The design blends into a living and kitchen space as it is on legs rather than built in.
Nobilia
At its open house, Nobilia showed the reworking of its grid concept, which it believes will make it easier for retailers to create unique designs.
Nobilia also released several new colours. Riva gains the Terra grey cool concrete colour and a walnut shade with a matt surface. And to its EasyTouch matt lacquered laminate range it added Alpine White and Sand. There were also contemporary worktop decors with an antibacterial surface as standard. Nobilia also debuted two kitchens
and two bathrooms from its new Elements concept – a modular, quick-delivery system delivered pre-assembled from the warehouse to the retailer 24 hours after receipt of order. Nobilia extended its range of bathroom and living collections, too. The living designs now have rounded and upright panels as a way to add more chic details. The bathroom line-up had new products for small bathrooms, including basins and units that are less deep as well as Midi units and shelf units.
Störmer
One of the biggest announcements from Störmer was its new 10-year warranty. The company said this was the first of its kind for the KBB industry. Bodie Kelay, UK managing director of Störmer, said: “The ground-breaking 10-year warranty package underlines our continued commitment to quality and offers retailers a significant competitive advantage. Störmer retailers will be able to provide customers with the ultimate peace of mind, through a comprehensive kitchen design and after-care solution.” Villeroy and Boch Kitchens, which are created and distributed under licence by Störmer, launched several new designs. Cera was the new launch on show in a mix of Zahia Stone Silk ceramic with Largo in Capri Blue velvet lacquer. Villeroy and Boch also announced new pieces, including the new pocket door system for tall units that can be used to conceal appliances or give more storage space. The new concept Verona handle profiles are available in a walnut veneer with the option to inlay a matching ceramic or glass finish.
