EDITOR’S COMMENT
SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE
oronavirus has turned everyone’s world’s upside down and, as you can see from the cover of this issue, here at kbbreview we are not immune. We like everyone have been affected by the ongoing pandemic and are having to furlough most of our team during lockdown while we – like the rest of you – fi ght our way through the uncertainty. And, for that reason, we’ve had to temporarily pause print production of the magazine. I can’t tell you how strange it feels to mark my fi rst anniversary as editor with this news but, as we
are all too well aware, these are very strange and testing times. But the good news is that we’re not disappearing. We will be updating all of our digital channels –
kbbreview.com, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn – regularly so you can stay up to date with the latest industry news. You can even tune into new and existing episodes of The Kitchen and Bathroom Design Podcast and the kbbreview Podcast. Full details of where to fi nd us below. If you’re struggling and need some ideas for how to cope during this uncertain period, in this issue we hear from various different businesses and individuals about how they’ve been dealing with the lockdown. We’ve also turned our attention to the global topic of sustainability which is now as much of a commercial consideration as it is a moral one. It’s easy to lose sight of long- term goals like these when you’re consumed by a challenge like the one that is testing us
We will continue to update our digital channels
all daily at the moment. However, environmentalism is emerging as one of the key considerations on the consumer’s buying journey, alongside price point, quality and aesthetics. So, I hope our bumper, 24-page special (pgs 36-59) will give you all some food for thought on why taking a more sustainable approach can be good for business.
Please stay safe and remain positive and I look forward to seeing you all on the other side of this madness.
