joined the company in 2000 on leaving school and is now part of the father-and-daughter design team. The small business is a team of seven staff, including stonemasons who fabricate natural and manufactured stone worktops plus a team of seven cabinetmakers. The company are kitchen specialists working closely with clients from initial design through to installation and beyond.

The property is a Grade I listed townhouse in Suffolk. THE CLIENTS

A professional middle-aged couple with two children. Adventurous and individual. This was the second collaboration between Kitchens Etc and these clients when they relocated to their new home, a historic townhouse in their former hometown in Suffolk.

THE BRIEF To bring the wow factor! To create a working, glamorous ‘wow’ kitchen with a strong emphasis on socialising and entertaining. The kitchen was to be individual and cutting-edge – the complete opposite to the existing very traditional kitchen put in by the previous occupiers. The new kitchen must conceal the original layout of two separate rooms – kitchen and dining room – and bring the whole, extremely large space together as one. The clients particularly wanted the kitchen to be true bespoke both in materials and design and to express their individuality.
