ABODE KAREN PARKER


Karen Parker has been appointed as northern sales manager at Abode. She joins the brand with significant KBB industry experience having previously held roles at Beko, Smeg UK, Wolseley, Triflow Concepts, and Bathroom Brands. Together with Victoria Hatton, who joined the business last year, she will cover Yorkshire and the Humber, the north- west of England and north Wales. The pair will be responsible


for seeking new business while


maintaining relationships with existing customers. Parker said: “I have been welcomed with open arms, as I look to strengthen my place in the northern sales division at Abode.”


Here’s a look at this month’s KBB appointments


FALMEC DAN TEDDS


Dan Tedds has joined the Falmec UK team as a regional sales manager. His patch is the north of England and he will be responsible for looking after existing customers and developing new accounts in the region. He has been in the appliance business for nearly 30 years, starting his career as a graduate trainee with Stoves in 1993. During his five years with the company, he moved up to senior product manager. He then moved to Smeg as regional sales manager, before spending 18 years at BSH as area sales manager for Bosch built-in, kitchen channel, and then as national account manager for the Bosch, Neff and Siemens brands.


ALEX COOPER SANIPEX


Alex Cooper has joined Sanipex Group as sales and marketing director. He will be responsible for managing the Bagnodesign brand and the Sanipex business in the UK. He started in the bathroom industry at West One Bathrooms. He then moved to a managerial role at Surrey-based independent retailer Lewis Charles Bathrooms, before moving on to a sales-driven role at Majestic Showers. His latest role was with The Shower Lab. Cooper said of his new role: “I owe a lot of my knowledge to my start at West One where I gained huge product knowledge and experience that set me off on a great foot in my 20 years in the KBB industry.”


SIRIUS BUYING GROUP MARION MORTON


Marion Morton has joined Sirius Buying Group as head of commercial as part of the buying group’s plan to expand its retail support and services. Morton joins the senior leadership team with over 20 years’ experience in trade and business development. In the new role, she will work with suppliers and members to develop new opportunities in the group. Morton said: “I am excited to join Sirius Buying Group as head of commercial and I am looking forward to developing


and implementing Sirius Group


commercial strategies for members, and partnering with suppliers to ensure we that we can achieve mutually beneficial strategies and promotions.”

MY LIFE BATHROOMS JAYMIT PATEL, ADAM KIRKLAND, ALEX MORSE AND KATIE MCAULAY


My Life Bathrooms has appointed four new area sales managers. Jaymit Patel will cover north London and East Anglia, Adam Kirkland will look after London and the South-East, Alex Morse will cover south- west England, and Katie McAulay will cover Scotland and the North. The new team will work with CEO Andrew O’Brien and national sales manager Derek Nicholson to implement a long-term roadmap to expand the My Life Bathrooms brand. My Life Bathrooms CEO O’Brien said: “We’re in a fantastic position now to continue this success and expand our presence even further.”


MOORES DAVID SIMPSON


David Simpson has been promoted to channel director for the private development channel at Moores. In the new role, one of his main objectives will be to build on the significant sales growth achieved by the Moores business in 2022. He will also help maintain relationships with key customers while looking after his team. Simpson said: “There has been an incredible amount of business development recently at Moores, all of which was necessary to help the company expand. We have a new CEO who has been in the business for almost 20 years and understands the importance of delivering customer excellence.”
